Business owners tell me: “I’m spending money on ads, people come to my site, but they leave immediately.” I tell them: take a hard look at your site. The problems are usually obvious.
Nobody Knows What You Do
I see so many sites with a carousel slider, the company vision, and “est. 2015” — but nowhere does it say what they actually offer. Visitors won’t puzzle it out. Your homepage hero section must explain in one sentence what you do and what problem you solve.
Contact Info Is Hidden
Someone reads your page, gets interested, wants to ask a question… and can’t find your contact details. Even worse: the contact page has a form that doesn’t work. Phone number, email, live chat — put them where people can actually see them.
Vague Claims Instead of Proof
“We provide quality service,” “we have a professional team,” “customer-centric approach” — everyone says this. Show me: projects you’ve done, client testimonials with names, numbers and results. Real proof beats adjectives every time.
No Clear Next Step
Someone reads your page. Now what? You need a clear call to action. “Get a quote,” “Book a consultation,” “See our work” — something specific. A site without clear next steps is like a store with the door open but nobody behind the counter.
You’re paying to bring people to your site. Don’t waste that traffic on a site that doesn’t convert.
